Useful Front Page
Welome to Chipaedia. This is the useful front page. If you already developed nostalgia during the site's first days, you can still view the Useless Front Page, which was preserved for posterity.
Chipaedia has been started as an open encyclopaedia on the topic of chip music. Feel free to create articles on topics you think should be included in the scope of this project. You are encouraged to create an account so people know who you are when you're editing. This also enables you to edit pages without filling in a CAPTCHA each time. You need an account with a confirmed e-mail address to be able to freely edit the site.
Chipaedia is intended to have no affiliation with any of the major online chip music portals, and thus hopes to become an unbiased source of information within the world of chip music.
Page suggestions:
- Regular Chip Shows
- List of all albums added so far.
- How to add an album to the wiki. Information on how albums should be catalogized on this wiki.
- Chip music.
- Hardware specific pages.
- Software specific pages (a return of the LSDJ article that was removed from wikipedia).
- 8bc, cm.org, chipcoalition community pages.
- Labels.
- Artists. For now perhaps only the more well known, we don't need an article on some kid who had been making chip for 2 weeks.
- A naming and shaming "chiptheft" page.
Try follow the general rules of writing, don't be a dick(unless called for) and don't just rip from wikipedia.
Consult the User's Guide and Chipaedia:Useful Tools for more information and tips on using the wiki software.
